Rustic Luxury at Bambu Indah

Posted By Nancy Einhart on Oct 24, 2010 at 11:55AM

Luxurious hotels are easy to come by, but it's rare that you find something that's really magical. Bambu Indah, outside of Ubud in Bali, Indonesia, is one of those places. We stayed there for part of our honeymoon and I could have never left. It's not for everyone, but if you don't mind slightly rustic luxury, it is a truly outstanding and one-of-a-kind experience. The hotel is made up of seven 100-year-old huts, constructed by Javanese tribes and then rebuilt on Bambu Indah's property overlooking a river gorge and rice fields. But that's just short story; click through to see how cool this place really is.

Ace Hotel Palm Springs: My Idea of Paradise

Posted By Nancy Einhart on Jul 29, 2010 at 7:54AM

Last weekend my girlfriends and I headed down to the Ace Hotel Palm Springs, after I'd been salivating over Ace's hipster hotels for years. It did not disappoint. Yes, it was hot, but if you stay in the pool with an adult sno-cone in hand, you're fine. Plus, the Ace Suite was hip but not too posh, the perfect place to revel or rest. And the aesthetic was to die for. Check out my photos.

Found the Apartment.. hate the floors!

Posted By bryneliz on Jul 19, 2010 at 12:34PM

I have been looking for an apartment with my boyfriend and we are on an extreemly tight budget. Most of the apartments that are even within our budget all have carpeting! We would LOVE wood floors but aren't sure if asking the landlord to install wood flooring is too much? I would even go to the extreme in buying the flooring and installing myself! Any suggestions in terms of apartment hunting, decor & whats appropriate to discuss with a landlord? Thanks!

Indoor/Outdoor Patio

Posted By Koo Tour on Jul 28, 2008 at 12:30AM

I love the way this patio is half covered to give a cozier feel. The architecture is beautiful and the infinity pool is a really nice touch. Furniture-wise I think having big, comfy chairs and couches around the fire pit would really complete the ambiance of luxury and relaxation emanating from this patio's design.

HELLO QUEENMARGOT

Posted By GOTCHA on Apr 26, 2008 at 8:45PM

*HELLO QUEENMARGOT*
You are a pathetic woman. All of your lies and all that you have done to injure others, is finally beginning to catch up to you. Your mask is falling, and you are realizing that there are many times now that you can't control your thoughts or your emotions. Many people are laughing behind your back. They are calling you the very same disgusting names that you have called others that you felt were not giving you the constant attention that you so desperately need. You have very serious mental problems, and you try to escape your insane thoughts, but you are unable to do so, because the massive amount of random thoughts that you harbor does not even allow you to sleep. You've made the mistake of sharing your evil actions with others that you thought would never betray you. You were wrong! You have been betrayed, and soon everyone will know about all that which you have single handedly orchestrated for the benefit of only yourself. You have only the emotional maturity of a fairly bright 6 year old. Your emotions are limited. you have no conscience, and it is very difficult for you to even understand boundaries, let alone abide by them. You do understand fear. Now is the time to fear that all are about to view and will anxiously await the moment that you will have pay for the havoc that you have caused in so many innocent lives. I bet that you thought that you were covering all of your bases when you devised plans to hurt others. You should have given that a great deal more thought. the world is full of pathological liars like yourself. they all believe all of their lies, and they all believe that they are too smart to ever get caught. In time, most of them are not only caught, but also forced to pay for the damage that they have done with all of those lies. You understand shame. You are about to crawl away alone carrying that shame along with you, because the very people that you have encouraged to plead your case, will be the same people that will see you for the vile creature that you really are. It's a funny thing about a liar, somehow along the way, they tend to forget which lies they told to which people. Most importantly though, the liar always thinks that his secrets are always safe. Not this time my dear. Enjoy your evening!

Dream Decor: Warm and Sunny Living Room Look

Posted By ladypenguin on Mar 21, 2008 at 7:12PM

I put together a dream living room look on ShopStyle. I hope I win that $500 gift certificate, because I certainly can't afford the $7,500 to pull this off! ;-)

I combined deep shades of chocolate brown with warm yellows and oranges. I'm not an expert in home design, but I like how it feels...like a place to cuddle up and relax in.
